The city develops restless and progressively angry at Sonic for destroying the Mirror Towers. Just like things almost get free from control, however, Sonic discloses towards the others that Eggman was intentionally leading to the Egg Moon to obstruct the daylight to ensure that he could brainwash the folks together with his Sunshine Balls. Knuckles later reinstates sunlight towards the town by kicking the Egg Moon taken care of.
